Service overview
These Terms define the conditions under which the User may access the Aedon App and use the features offered by Naboat, the commercial name of Nelson Parrilla, sole proprietor, including profile creation and browsing, user interactions, messaging, the Premium subscription and one-time in-app purchases.
Access and registration
The App is strictly reserved for individuals aged 18 or over. Any registration attempt by a minor is prohibited. Registration requires the creation of a user account including, in particular, login credentials and personal information necessary for the operation of the service.
Conduct rules
The User undertakes to use the App in compliance with applicable laws, third-party rights, and these Terms. In particular, the User must not harass others, impersonate another person, publish unlawful content, or use the App for fraud, spam, or manipulative practices.
Human trafficking, including sex trafficking and sexual exploitation, is expressly prohibited. Aiding, encouraging, promoting, facilitating or enabling any form of abuse, including sexual violence, non-consensual sexual acts, exploitation and abuse of minors or adults, is also prohibited. The App must never be used to recruit, coerce, transport, harbor, control or exploit a person in connection with these activities.
Prohibited content
- Nude or sexually explicit photos.
- Written or voice messages containing violence, threats, hateful, sexual, or discriminatory speech.
- Any unlawful, misleading, fraudulent content, or content infringing third-party rights.
Automated moderation
Before publication, profile content (username, bio and voice introduction) is checked automatically. This pre-publication check is not performed by a human moderator.
Text messages are sent without a prior Llama Guard check. They are analyzed automatically at night on Aedon's infrastructure with Llama Guard 3; when a message is considered suspicious, it is surfaced to administration for review even though it has already been sent.
Audio analyzed by the service is transcribed temporarily with Whisper, then its transcription is analyzed and deleted. Human review may still occur after a report, appeal, legal requirement, automated escalation or security need.
Freemium, subscription and one-time purchases
Aedon offers a freemium model. Core features are available free of charge, subject to certain usage limits, including limits on text and audio messages.
The Premium subscription multiplies text and audio message quotas by five, lets Users see profiles that have already expressed interest in them and makes previously skipped profiles eligible to appear again. Premium status does not provide a visibility boost in recommendations.
Messaging is available free of charge within the applicable usage limits between users with a mutual match. Premium extends this messaging capacity through a fixed-price monthly subscription: no chat credits, individual message purchases or pay-per-message features are offered. Recipients receive no remuneration. Stripe prices are publicly available on the Pricing page.
One-time in-app purchases may also be offered. The “Current likes” purchase unlocks only profiles that had already expressed interest at the time of purchase; later likes are not included. The “Second chance” purchase makes previously skipped profiles eligible to appear again without changing existing likes or matches.
Android — Google Play. In the version distributed through Google Play, one-time purchases and Premium subscriptions are paid through Google Play Billing. The price, taxes, billing period and renewal terms are displayed in the Google Play confirmation screen before purchase. Premium is a monthly subscription that renews automatically until canceled; one-time purchases do not renew.
Stripe. Subscriptions and one-time purchases presented on this website are paid on an external payment page hosted by Stripe (Stripe Checkout). Premium is a monthly subscription that renews automatically until canceled. Prices, billing frequency, renewal rules and purchase conditions are displayed before payment is confirmed.
Subscriptions purchased through Stripe are managed from the App, which opens the Stripe customer portal to view billing, update the payment method or cancel. The portal displays when cancellation takes effect. One-time purchases do not renew.
Prices are shown in euros, including all taxes, before payment is confirmed. Before paying on Stripe Checkout, the User must tick a box to accept these terms and, as applicable, request immediate performance of the purchase or the immediate start of the subscription (see “Right of withdrawal”). Payment is not possible without this acceptance.
Rules for each payment channel are distinguished below. The Stripe portal cannot manage a Google Play purchase.
Subscription cancellation
Google Play: cancel using the Google account used for the purchase, under Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Aedon. Cancellation stops renewal; access remains available until the paid period ends while the Aedon account exists. Deleting your Aedon account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it before deleting your account. Google Play cancellation help.
Stripe. The User may cancel the Premium subscription at any time from the App, through the Stripe customer portal, at no cost and without giving a reason.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current, already paid monthly period: the User keeps Premium access until that date, after which the subscription is not renewed and no further payment is taken. The current period is not refunded pro rata, except in the cases described under “Right of withdrawal” and “Refunds”.
Deleting the account immediately cancels any ongoing Stripe subscription, without a refund of the period already started.
Right of withdrawal
Google Play: for a purchase billed by Google Play, see the refund rules and request process applicable in France and the EEA. Withdrawal terms presented by Google Play at purchase apply to this payment channel, without limiting statutory consumer rights. Cancellation alone is not a refund request. For activation issues or requests requiring our assistance, contact aedon@naboat.fr with the product, date and Google Play order reference, without passwords or bank details. The paragraphs below concern Stripe.
Stripe. A User acting as a consumer generally has 14 days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving any reason (articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code).
One-time purchases (“Current likes”, “Second chance”). These purchases are fully performed as soon as payment is confirmed. In accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, by ticking the dedicated box before payment, the User expressly requests immediate performance and acknowledges losing the right of withdrawal once the purchase has been performed.
Premium subscription. By ticking the dedicated box before payment, the User expressly requests that the subscription start immediately, before the end of the withdrawal period. If the User withdraws within 14 days of subscribing, the amount paid is refunded minus an amount proportionate to the period elapsed until the withdrawal was communicated, in accordance with article L221-25 of the French Consumer Code. Premium access ends on the date of withdrawal.
To exercise this right, the User sends an unequivocal statement of the decision to withdraw to aedon@naboat.fr, stating the account email address and the subscription date. The refund is made to the original payment method within 14 days of receipt of the request.
Refunds, disputes and revocation
Google Play: for a purchase billed by Google Play, see the refund rules and request process applicable in France and the EEA. Withdrawal terms presented by Google Play at purchase apply to this payment channel, without limiting statutory consumer rights. Cancellation alone is not a refund request. For activation issues or requests requiring our assistance, contact aedon@naboat.fr with the product, date and Google Play order reference, without passwords or bank details. The paragraphs below concern Stripe.
Stripe. Apart from the right of withdrawal and statutory guarantees, payments are non-refundable. Cancelling a subscription stops its renewal but is not a refund request. Naboat may nevertheless grant a full or partial refund in the event of a billing error, duplicate payment, service malfunction attributable to the Publisher or as a goodwill gesture; requests may be sent through the refund request form or to aedon@naboat.fr.
Any refund of a one-time purchase, even partial, removes the access unlocked by that purchase: likes unlocked by “Current likes” are hidden again; profiles already shown again by “Second chance” cannot be withdrawn. A full refund of a subscription payment immediately cancels the subscription and ends Premium access. A partial goodwill refund of a subscription payment does not change Premium access.
If a payment is disputed with the bank (chargeback), access linked to this payment is suspended as soon as the dispute is opened: the relevant one-time purchase is revoked and the Premium subscription is cancelled immediately. In the event of abusive or repeated disputes, or payment fraud, Naboat reserves the right to suspend the account in accordance with “Account suspension or deletion”.
These provisions do not deprive the User of the statutory conformity guarantees applicable to digital content and services (articles L224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code).
Maintenance and service availability
The App may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, updates, technical incidents, or more generally any event beyond Naboat's reasonable control. The Publisher will use reasonable efforts to inform Users in advance of scheduled maintenance and restore access to the service as soon as possible.
Except where otherwise required by mandatory law, Naboat shall not be held liable for temporary interruptions, slowdowns, or malfunctions affecting access to the App where such issues result in particular from service maintenance, communication network failures, app distribution platform outages, or force majeure events.
Liability
Naboat shall not be liable for inappropriate, fraudulent, or unlawful user behavior. Each User remains solely responsible for the content they publish, the information they share, and the interactions they initiate through the App.
Account suspension or deletion
Naboat reserves the right to suspend or delete any user account in the event of breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, unlawful activity, or conduct affecting the proper operation or security of the App.
Accounts that remain inactive for 12 months may be automatically deleted together with the associated data. A reminder email is sent approximately one month before deletion to inform the User that signing in again will keep the account active.
Reporting and abuse
The App allows Users to report profiles for inappropriate, abusive, or non-compliant behavior. Such reports are reviewed carefully by the moderation team. Abusive, repeated, or manifestly unfounded reports may themselves result in sanctions, including temporary or permanent account suspension.
